FIRST AND LAST FATHERS' DAY CELEBRATION WITH PAPA

REMINISCENCE. I still remember that day when I was preparing broiled bangus (milkfish)...the amber was fiery hot...I burned my thumb and index finger...my temper got high...when my father asked if the fish was ready to eat I shouted at the top of my voice to wait...then I heard from the radio greetings of FATHERS' DAY... I never realized it was fathers' day...I really was not particular about that occasion...when the fish was ready I brought it on the table and prepared our lunch...the greetings continued airing on the radio...I sliced my favorite part of the fish...my favorite belly, which happened to be papa's favorite too...I called papa and handed him his share, his favorite...he smiled and thanked me...that was my real first and last fathers' day celebration. The following month, he died. That was 11 years ago. Now all I have is that one and only beautiful memory. I wish there could have been more...
